Franky is a wild baby bird that Philippe found outside 62 Achewood Court and attempted to father. The story arc was completely blog-contained, mostly in Philippe's blog but also briefly mentioned in Teodor's.

[edit] Plot Summary

Philippe describes in a blog entry on 22 September 2005 that he has discovered a bird's nest outside of the living room window. Lyle tells Philippe that he can have the baby bird, but that he can't touch the bird or the bird's mother might kill it. Philippe spends several weeks observing the bird and its mother. The bird's mother soon chokes on an almond, and Philippe brings Franky into the house to care for it. At first, Phillipe and the baby bird do well, watching Cheers together and playing bird games, but as the bird grows older, it starts acting more bird-like, to Philippe's consternation. Eventually, Franky builds a nest for himself on a telephone pole, and on New Year's Day, flies away with a flock of birds, leaving Philippe with both sadness that his "son" (as he refers to Franky throughout the arc) has left him, and happiness that the bird has finally found joy in his life.
