Lyle Gabriel is one of the many stuffed animals (he is a tiger) who live at 62 Achewood Court, but the only similarity between him and the other residents seem to be a love of cooking. In the strips, he seems to have two personalities. The fairly sober, easy going half of Lyle has helped Phillipe on a number of occasions, even instructing Phillipe on the 'pranks' in the Anarchist's Cookbook. The other, more prominent half is almost perpetually inebriated, and is probably the only personality in the strip with the gall to insult Mr. Bear, Ray, Téodor, etc.

Lyle's past is fairly cloudy, but strips have suggested a criminal, tragic past. (Which would explain the copious amounts of whiskey he drinks.)

Despite his brash personality (and all the whiskey), Lyle is one talented alcoholic. He is particuarly skilled at calligraphy and appears to be an excellent mechanic. Also, he is apparently an excellent hairstylist and cook.

Lyle is the most enterprising of the non-Ray cast, having started a taco cart with leftovers from the Mexican restaurant he bussed at, a career he soon parleyed into a stint in pornography.

He appears to be the only tiger (stuffed or otherwise) with a moustache and human arms. He got a mouth for Christmas in 2003.
