Roast Beef Gets Shot For The First Time

Roast Beef has a tendency to get shot. Actually, so do some of the other characters of Achewood. This time, upon coming back from the Moon, he wakes up with a hangover after a party Ray throws for him in a home-made Cheers. Ray comes with a pistol, saying he's Tony Soprano, slips on a roller skate and shoots Beef.
This time, though, the bullet fused with his spine, forming a wireless internet connection. Dr. Andretti patches him up OK and informs the other characters about this development. When Philippe visits, Roast Beef reveals how lonely he is, and so he sets up a matchmaker4u.com profile for the wounded cat.
It should be noted that this is only the first time Roast Beef gets shot in the comic strip, as he is later seen to tell his mother in an e-mail that he "got shot by Ray again."
